The Gateron Type R might be the craziest tactile switch you have ever seen. Designed by Sillyworks, their goal was to create a purely 100% tactile switch with no linear travel. The switch has a super short travel distance of just 3mm, an elongated stem pole, and a tactile bump design. The tactility starts right at the keypress and continues until the bottom-out. This design ensures a distinct and satisfying tactile feedback with each keypress.
Sound-wise, with such a very short travel and having the bottom-out quickly after, the Type R switches might tend to sound clackier than other Gateron tactile switches.
Switches sold in multiple of 10 and will be packed in a zipped bag or in a box.
